Oliver Cartwright is a graphic artist out of Cambridge, England I met via the internet a little while back and kept in close touch with as he has kept me up to speed on current projects he has been working on. He has a super unique style boasting robotic and machine like images with great detail and a rapid fire approach to everything he does. I found myself revisiting his work more and more and wondered how he was so productive with completely refined finished products in these short periods of time between his updates to me. No explanation aside from the man is truly on his grind, extremely talented, and contageously inspiring to say the least.
After creating a timeline for some upcoming micro-projects I had been working on, I asked Ollie if he wanted to get down with an upcoming Yak Ballz leak. He obliged and actually opted to go one step further. So after a good while of emails and perfecting details we have what we need and next Tuesday, April 6th, I will be leaking a track called The Compass produced by the incredible Chapter 7 with accompanying art design AND video by the big homie from the UK, Oliver Cartwright. I would certainly vouch for Ollie’s abilities, he designed my band’s artwork and it was simply awesome! I sometimes think that his artwork is the best thing about the album :p
Not only is Ollie crazy talented but he’s a man with integrity and in the pond, all fish are treated equal plus the man doesn’t sleep i don’t think, he’s half human half amazing.
