Oliver Cartwright is a graphic artist out of Cambridge, England I met via the internet a little while back and kept in close touch with as he has kept me up to speed on current projects he has been working on. He has a super unique style boasting robotic and machine like images with great detail and a rapid fire approach to everything he does. I found myself revisiting his work more and more and wondered how he was so productive with completely refined finished products in these short periods of time between his updates to me. No explanation aside from the man is truly on his grind, extremely talented, and contageously inspiring to say the least.

After creating a timeline for some upcoming micro-projects I had been working on, I asked Ollie if he wanted to get down with an upcoming Yak Ballz leak. He obliged and actually opted to go one step further. So after a good while of emails and perfecting details we have what we need and next Tuesday, April 6th, I will be leaking a track called The Compass produced by the incredible Chapter 7 with accompanying art design AND video by the big homie from the UK, Oliver Cartwright. Here are a few images I pulled from his site to show you what the fuck I’m talkin’ ’bout. Please do yourself a favor and visit his website. It somehow worked out in my favor that I have two songs on this compilation. One of which is the title track to my forthcoming EP, Gas Galaxy, produced by Chapter 7. If you haven’t yet, you can download the song,Gas Galaxy, for free HERE. Just add it to your cart and continue following the directions to check out. If you came out to any of the shows on the DFM tour, you may have seen me play this song. The Gas Galaxy EP will be coming out on Def Jux some time in the near future. Possibly this year.

The other song I have on it is called Halogen Glow and it is produced by House of Blow (F. Sean Martin & Daryl Palumbo). I’m stoked on this song getting the chance to be released to the rest of the world. Here is a little video interview I did a few months back with Daryl and Chauncey about the song.

Just got back from Chapter 7‘s studio. Today/tonight we pretty much wrapped up all the vocals for my Gas Galaxy EP coming out later this year on Definitive Jux. Chapter 7 engineered and produced the whole EP front to back including the title track. He is responsible for production on songs from my last album Scifentology II such as Nuclear Society and Trust is a Timebomb. Definitely an amazing producer.
